Lessons Learned From Rocky 1 To Rocky 3

Things I learnt by being vegan last week:

- The whole point of last week's exercise was only to see if I could do it. And I did.
- It must surely be easier buying tinned chickpeas to use to make hummous and other dishes than buying dried ones, soaking them for hours then cooking them on the saucepan
- I have no idea if I lost any weight- that was not the goal but I did feel better in a number of ways.
- I ate a lot more healthily than normal- normally I struggle but each day I'm sure I ate the recommended 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day. Lots of lovely stir fries and salads- I didn't just eat pasta with pesto, chips and bread!
- Vegan cheese is not only disgusting but an oxymoron. I am pleased that I was brave enough to try it though....
- Eating at home was easy- I just avoided the cheese counters and all worked out pretty well.
- Eating out restricts your choices severely to salads, chips and chinese
- It is possible to live without cheese but not one that I am define

I have signed up for an account at www.emusic.com at the weekend and although I have downloaded almost 80 songs in that time, the only tracks I've managed to listen to (and are constant rotation in my flat) are:

Plug It In- Basement Jaxx
Bastardo- Charlotte Hatherley
Behave- Charlotte Hatherley (I just love the lyrics to this)
Bottle Rocket- The Go! Team (put this on and feel incredibly happy)
Happiness- Pizzaman
